The percentage of households in Ireland with a broadband internet connection has grown a lot in the past few years –

Fixed Broadband subscriptions in Ireland reached 1.29 million in summer 2015

The estimated household (fixed and mobile) broadband penetration rate in 2015 was about  80%, just over the EU average of 78%.

Average broadband speeds are getting faster –  about  half (51.3%) of fixed broadband subscriptions were at speeds of at least 30Mbps in mid 2014. T

Over 65% of all fixed broadband subscriptions were equal to or greater than 10 Mbps

Pure Telecom have a fibre and phone bundle costing €444 in year one.  The monthly charge is €50 , reduced to €24 for the first 6 months.

Vodafone  – charge €50 a month for  unlimited fibre broadband and free anytime calls to landlines. Reduced to €40 for the first 6 months.

Virgin (Was UPC)   (only available in larger cities and towns  ) have a broadband and phone bundle with upto 240Mb speeds , anytime calls to Irish landlines and Irish mobiles, plus 400 minutes to 22 countries abroad .
